Khalifa Stadium Doha Qatar
Rising, inclined tower provided scaffolding access for installation of 200kg glazing panels.
The Khalifa Stadium in Doha, has a fully glazed wall, which rises in an inclined moon-shaped arch from 8 metres to 25 metres, then back to 8 metres.
We designed and built a 7.5m long aluminium scaffold tower, with a central material hoist, to carry and position the 200kg glazing panels.
To accomodate the changing height of the wall, we used a unique rising tie system which allowed the scaffold tower to be erected with the rising panels, while still safely attached to the stadium.
